The Karcher WV2 Premium Window Cleaner combines a spray bottle and wiper setup with a vacuum to keep windows clean and spotless.The nozzle allows you to clean even lattice windows and display cabinets. This battery-powered product comes with a narrow suction nozzle in addition to a spray bottle, a microfibre wiping cloth and detergent. It includes everything you need to remove dirt from windows, leaving them streak-free and clean. The Kärcher WV 2 Premium makes window-cleaning easy and quick. If you have a large house with lots of windows, it would probably pay to buy the next model up (WV5) which comes with a spare battery, but for an average sized house this model works fine. My only gripe - the waste water reservoir is quite small, so you will probably have to empty it a couple of times in the course of cleaning your windows. The blades on this cleaner are very sturdy, so there is little likelihood they will disintegrate. Works brilliantly, leaves no smears and is super quick.

I use the vacuum a bit differently from what is suggested in the manual - I make up my own cleaning solution in a bucket (vinegar, meths and a few drops of dishwashing liquid together with some warm water) and armed with a sponge and some paper towelling, I sponge the windows, vacuum off the residue and go around the window frame edges with the paper towellling to mop up the last few drops.
Once fully charged, it last 20-25 minutes, enough time to clean the windows on a standard sized house. This model came with 2 blades, so for people who have leadlight or small paned windows, it is possible to use this. Fortunately the local Harvey Norman store were offering these at a very competitive price (much cheaper than anything I could source online) so decided once again to buy one, particularly as I find that window vacuums really do make it easier to keep your windows clean and sparkling. I've previously had a different window vacuum, but sadly it died just out of warranty, so was somewhat reluctant to spend money on buying another one. Would of got 5 stars if it wasnt for its flimsy lead and poor tank emptying. Plastic clip to remove top looks similar to previous model so unsure if it will break again after extended use. Some reason charger plugs in the opposite way around from previous model. I feel a real disaster with such thin lead. I wonder how long it will last as previous model ha. Has visible window in tank I assume to see quantity of water from handle side but of no use if water gets that high its far to full.Ĭharger has a very flimsy thin charging lead. Not all the time,īut Water tank was far harder to empty. Motor speed changes quite a lot a times when being used but unsure why. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the battery probably only lasts about 25 minutes and long term, care needs to be taken not to damage the blades as this would affect performanceĪfter owning Karcher WM 50 I though it would be interesting to compare.
The Karcher works well on shower glass and glass table tops too. For outside windows I usually wipe over with a wet cloth first to remove surface dust and dirt just to keep bucket water relatively clean. I find plenty of water on the cleaning pad gives the best result. Read more id in about 2 litres of warm water in a bucket. I use the cleaning pad with a squirt of Morning Fresh dishwashing liqu. Larger panes of glass are a breeze to clean too.
Without a Karcher this job is normally very difficult and would take an hour or more with a less satisfactory result. Today I cleaned 72 individual panes on the interior of colonial windows in less than 15 minutes.

It makes easy work of cleaning windows and gives an excellent shiny, streak free result in very little time. I have owned my Karcher WV2 Premium Window Vac for over 6 months and I'm very happy with its performance.
